Somatic Psychotherapy

Somatic Psychotherapy

Somatic Psychotherapy is a body-centered approach to healing that helps you reconnect with yourself through the wisdom of your body. It comes from a branch of psychology that understands how closely the mind and body work together. When we slow down and pay attention to what the body is saying, real insight and change become possible.

Somatic Psychotherapy

Most of us have learned to tune out the signals our bodies send. You might feel tension in your chest or a lump in your throat and push past it. If your mouth is dry, do you move into self care because no saliva means you re feeling nervous? Or do you ignore it? These physical sensations aren’t random, they’re messages. In Somatic Psychotherapy, we create a space where you can learn to recognize and respond to those messages with care.

Learn to Tune In

Sessions go beyond talk therapy. Through guided awareness, breath, gentle movement, and body-based techniques, you begin to experience what it feels like to be safe, grounded, and present. This isn't just about thinking your way through a problem. It’s about letting your body show you what it knows.

When your thoughts and actions don’t match how you really feel, the body notices. That inner disconnection can lead to anxiety, unease, or a sense that something just isn’t right. Somatic Psychotherapy helps you come back into alignment. As you become more connected to your internal experience, it gets easier to trust yourself, meet your needs, and feel more at home in your life.

Feeling is Understanding

This work is often hard to describe in words—because it’s something you feel. It’s like explaining the taste of apple pie. The real understanding happens when you experience it yourself. That’s what we do in each session. We create the space for you to listen deeply, shift gently, and come back to yourself.
